Jardin Tropical: a piece of Bali inside Tenerife

Jardin Tropical: a piece of Bali inside Tenerife

Who needs to go to Bali when you can find it in Jardin Tropical, inside a beautiful island like Tenerife?

For three days I had the amazing opportunity to stay in the wonderful Jardin Tropical.

Jardin Tropical is a beautiful resort situated in the most touristic spot of the island: Playa de Las Américas. The excellent position in the south of Tenerife lets you enjoy sunshine all year long and always high temperatures.

As soon as you walk through the entrance doors of Jardin Tropical, your first feeling is of being in a tropical paradise, just like Bali.
The amazing weather combined with the exotic architecture and furniture will make you feel grateful.
Why grateful? Because you just found a corner of paradise inside the amazing island of Tenerife, that itself is a wonderful place.

I was staying in a Junior Suite: an elegant bedroom with a king size bed, a nice terrace and bathroom.

From the terrace I had a gorgeous view over the ocean and the bathroom was equipped with a fabulous bathtub. Also, exotic decorations were all around my room and a giant closet was made available.

One of the best things that I absolutely adored about this resort was the breakfast. It was served inside the “Food Market”: one of the amazing restaurants inside the hotel.

Breakfast is served as a buffet, so you can choose between hundreds of different type of food!

It is really unlikely that you would not find something you like to eat. From lots of pastries, to omelette or crepes cooked in front of you, there is literally everything you could ask!

Walking around the resort, youll find palm trees and tropical plants everywhere, exactly like in a Balinese dream.

Obviously, there were also amazing Balinese beds facing a wonderful ocean view. Staying in these beds made me feel so relaxed and regenerated, even if I was working with my laptop! Work becomes really more enjoyable while laying in this amazing bed 🙂

One of the other things I truly appreciated was the staff of Jardin Tropical.

Their great attention to the needs of the guests makes them an amazing team. Their wonderful kindness and smiles will make you feel like you always meant to be in this magical place and family called Jardin Tropical.

I want to express my gratitude to John and Simon from Tenerife Magazine and to Fabien and Alicia from Jardin Tropical for letting me experience this wonderful corner of paradise. I am so thankful!

Where to stay in Tenerife? Check out the magnificent Pearly Grey Ocean Club

As I explained in my previous article, I had the opportunity to explore Tenerife for a week, thanks to the “Influencer Program” of Tenerife Magazine. During this time, I stayed at the fantastic Pearly Grey.

Pearly Grey Ocean Club is a fantastic resort located in Callao Salvaje, a pretty and quiet village in the southwest of Tenerife. It’s only a few minutes drive from Playas Las Americas, one of the island’s most important touristic centres.
With stunning views of the Atlantic and the neighbouring island of La Gomera, Pearly Grey is an exclusive and classy tourist complex.

It’s the ideal place to relax after visiting the island, thanks to its many facilities. There are infact a beautiful swimming pool, a gym, a spa and two restaurants.

The room

Pearly Grey has several types of apartments, and I stayed at the Cliff Top Suite, the largest room size (38m2) available.

This suite is located directly above the ocean with two breathtaking balconies from which you can enjoy the magnificent sound of the waves.

All apartments have Wi-Fi and a Smart Tv with access to Netflix.

My apartment had a separate bedroom with a cosy queen size bed, a work desk, and a balcony.

The queen size bed was so comfortable! Indeed, every morning it took me a great effort to get up and leave the apartment!

Inside the suite there is also a comfortable sofa bed and a huge bathroom complete with a double rain shower.

The apartments have a kitchen equipped with every accessory possible, exactly as if you were at home. From the oven to the microwave, it’s impossible not to feel at home in this wonderful place.

All the rooms have a stylish and elegant decor prepared with attention to the smallest detail.
Wellness Area & the Pool

Pearly Grey has a fully functional gym and a wellness area where you can enjoy a massage by the amazing Judith!

Outside, the resort features a crazy pool suitable for adults and children, where you can relax and sunbathe over a sunbed.

Restaurants and Bars

Pearly Grey has two restaurants: Quo Bar and The Edge Restaurant.
Quo Bar is a nice restaurant located next to the pool, and is where I usually had breakfast.

The Edge Restaurant is located on a terrace overlooking the ocean. It has magnificent Balinese beds, where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular sunset.

For dinner, their menu is varied and with delicious and elaborate dishes, as well as their wines!

How to get there

From the South Airport, follow the directions for Adeje and then Callao Salvaje. It’s approximately a 30 minutes drive, taking the highway.

Getting around

If you need a rental car to move around the island and get to Pearly Grey, I recommend to rent a car at Poul’s Auto. Their service is efficient and their cars are great.

How to book a room

Special thanks to all the staff at this fantastic resort for welcoming me into this terrific place for a week and making me feel better than at home.
An absolutely unforgettable experience!

Discovering Tenerife: the Island of Amazing Varieties

Discovering Tenerife: the Island of Amazing Varieties

discovering tenerife
My amazing experience with the “Influencer Program” of Tenerife Magazine.
Thanks to the influencer program of Tenerife Magazine, I had the amazing opportunity to discover Tenerife for a week.
For a long time, I had the desire to explore this island, so different from Lanzarote, where I live.
Don’t get me wrong, I truly love Lanzarote and I think it’s the best place to live. But I also love to travel and find new places!
Tenerife has certainly been a pleasant surprise and its nature has literally enchanted me. Exploring its varied and magnificent landscape with my camera was so exciting and intriguing!
But how did my adventure begin?

Landing at Tenerife South airport, I had my hire car ready directly in the car park.

Thanks to Pouls Auto‘s innovative system, I didn’t have to wait in any office to get the keys! In fact, each car has a box attached to the window, on which you just need to type a code to have immediate access to the car.

This is really a very simple and functional system! Especially for those who, like me, had to change a couple of flights and couldn’t wait to get to their car, without waiting for an eternity at the airport!
At that point, I finally headed to the southwest of the island, destination: Pearly Grey!
Pearly Grey is a charming resort located in the quiet village of Callao Salvaje and it was my home for a week.
To welcome me on my arrival there was John, Director of Tenerife Magazine. He supported me during all my stay and he always made sure I was comfortable every time as if I were at home.

After a tour of the hotel, I was finally taken to my room and I couldn’t believe my eyes!
It wasn’t just a room, I would call it a mini-apartment! it was equipped with every comfort and accessory, with two fantastic balconies overlooking the ocean… Such a dream!

I spent all afternoon looking around this wonderful place and noticing the amazing details inside the apartment. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful terrace and I practiced meditation with the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.

Just when the sun was going down, I went down to the amazing “The Edge” restaurant. It’s located inside the hotel, and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner with a breathtaking view during the sunset.

The next day, I spent all day with the staff of Tenerife Magazine inside “Oasis Los Gigantes“. It’s a lovely place with several swimming pools, a delightful restaurant and a terrific view on Los Gigantes. This is certanly one of the most characteristic and impressive spots of the island.

In the following days, I visited the island with Poul’s Auto car, trying to capture with my camera as many places as possible.

Exploring the valley of Teide, the highest volcano in Spain, or doing the Masca Walk, 3 hours of trekking down a majestic valley, Tenerife has enchanted me with its really varied and wonderful scenery.

In just a few minutes by car, you can have summer temperatures in the South, but also a mountain climate in the central part of the island! There’s literally a little something for everyone!

The north of the island is very interesting too, and also really varied. From the magnificent Las Teresitas beach, you can reach the majestic Agana Natural Park, on the eastern tip of the island. This place is rich in different types of trees surrounded by an almost mystical landscape.

On the north west of the island, there are other magnificent pearls. Some of them are the spectacular Punta Teno with its ocean of a deep blue colour, and Garachico with its fantastic natural pools.

During my stay, I was able to do other interesting activities. I had the opportunity to practice Yoga and Meditation with the talented Emily of Yoga Vibe Tenerife, and relaxing with a wonderful sunset massage thanks to Judith of Origins Wellness Tenerife.

It was such a great experience, and I want to really thank Tenerife Magazine and Pearly Grey to make this happened!
I hope to come back soon to Tenerife to discover all those little secrets that I couldn’t find during my first trip! 🙂
